Unknown Files

Unknown Files are those that were loaded as part of the application source but were not recognized by the AveriSource Platform^™️. In most cases, this is due to an unsupported file extension. For example, a COBOL program is identified by a .CBL extension. In a scenario where another extension is used to identify COBOL files and is not addressed earlier (via AveriSource Scan or the Preparser), it is reported as an Unknown File. Users can assign a supported file extension or mark those components for further review through the Status column.
