Missing Files

A critical component within AveriSource Inventory is the Missing Files report. Users can review the report to identify programs, copybooks, DDLs, JCL PROCs, etc. that are identified as missing. Users can then validate these further to decide if they should be included as part of the application or can be excluded, as they are part of another application—possibly a downstream one—and therefore, likely not in scope.

It is also important to note that system programs/utilities are also reported as missing with the label “System” listed under the Missing Item Type column. While these system programs cannot be loaded in the AveriSource Platform™, it is useful to make a note of them for modernization requirements, as they will have to be replaced or retrofitted for the target platform.
